I Am Not a Studio Artist — Hüseyin Bahri Alptekin

Edited by Duygu Demir and published on the occasion of SALT Beyoğlu’s inaugural exhibition with the same title, the publication gives a sense of late artist Hüseyin Bahri Alptekin’s intellectual interests, his correspondence, and follows the themes that informed his artistic practice. I AM NOT A STUDIO ARTIST features a selection of Alptekin’s own writings, published and unpublished interviews, as well as texts by Duygu Demir, Michel Foucault, Vasıf Kortun, Michel Oren, Sabine Vogel and Tirdad Zolghadr. The graphic designer of the publication is Vahit Tuna, a close friend of Alptekin’s, which also reflects the personal approach of the project.
